@pp5035 wretched, I haven’t figured out how to extend it.

  3. pp5035 on February 25, 2011 at 4:56 pm

Hi, on the time lapse I know that the G9 limits it to only 2 hours. Do you know how I can extend it beyond 2 hours? Thanks!

Hi, just wanted to say thanks for the demos.. I’ve had the camera for a year and had no thought I could do that sort of thing (I’m a complete novice).

Seems like I’m not the only one you’ve inspired to get out and start shooting time lapse, colour swap etc.

Keep up the excellent work :)

Thank you very much for this video. I have had my camera for very nearly exactly a year and have never used these features. I’m excited to go experiment!

Fantastic stuff. Have had the G9 for about a year now but have only been using it in the most basic way. This gives me a ton of thoughts.

It’s also fun to set on your dash and go for a drive. I was going to get the G10, but they removed the time-lapse selection from it. Have fun!

OMGGGGG I didn’t know my G9 could do time lapses. *goes and sets the tripod up on her balcony pointed towards the clouds* :D thanks man

You’r tripod is sick, I like it. Who makes it?

You can take the reminiscence card out of the camera and place it into computer, or you can use the cable that came with the camera.

You may also try putting the photo on a dvd or cd-rom and taking it to Kinkos to have them print it.

  19. Timasu on February 26, 2011 at 1:09 am

I reckon part of it depends on your laser printer. Will it print that large of paper? Software, such as that which came with the camera will also allow you to choose different sizes. If you are going to print a photo that large you probably will want to take photos that are higher in pixels, which means they will take up more reminiscence. If you push the “func. Set” button on the camera it will allow you to choose “normal” “fine” or “superfine.” You can at the same time choose “L” to get 12M 4000×3000.

How can i get a 20×28 print outta this thing. Im tryin to make my own prints for frames i bought. Is there anyway this can be done with this camera? Do i have to use stiching or something?

  21. Timasu on February 26, 2011 at 2:27 am

Yeah, to me the manual is too large and unorganized. The video was shot on an older Nikon camera, but you are right that the last bit of it was recorded using the G9.

  22. gary2880 on February 26, 2011 at 3:27 am

Hey Tim hows it going. Brilliant video thanks very much, from a non reader of manuals. Going to buy for myself a G9 tomorrow after much deliberation to use as something more compact than my D-SLR for every day transportation around. Really like the time lapse videos you have posted. I notice at the end the audio gets a lot clearer, is that you using the G9 at the end of this vid? Thanks very much. All the best. Gary.

Really nicely paced, clear and informative explanation – Thank you! Please post more about the camera,….the manual is NOT very helpful.
