I’ve got the Olympus Stylus Tough. Took it to Jamaica with me :) I’ve got some fantastic videos of snorkelling. Would be nice with a small more battery life, but it works fantastic. Excellent for snowboarding aswell with the tap feature so you can leave your gloves on :)

@stavros8 Just got the Fujifilm XP10… so far its fantastic! Got it at Costco for $140. Takes 720p video, and it is fantastic quality! The buttons are easily laid out, pictures are quick, and it has a quality feel to it with an all metal uni-body. Its tough! Not the best low light shooter, but what camera can you say is at that price point- that you can take very nearly anywhere in confidence? In my opinion it’s the best out there right now for a fantastic price.

@b16ryder I worked at Costco, I wouldnt trust anything a majority of consumers buy, and most Best Buys I have been to the staff had no thought what they or I were discussion about. In person Id go to a real camera store for professional insight. Canon is a fantastic company, but they don’t make all the best cameras- check into each one individually for the specific use you want to use it for.

CANON IS ALWAYS TOP HIGH RATED CAMERA… I work at best buy and 95% of people buy canons from us… People just like the quality and sweet much everything on the camera…

I have an Olympus tough 8010, and it briliant. waterproof down to 10meters. I go scuba diving with it, and the tap-control feature is genius. None of those cameras has buttons that can be used with neoprene gloves on.

What kind of beach is that? Gravol? Seriously?
    It looks really cold, too.

And why are you taking pictures above the water?
    It’s a WATERPROOF camera.

are the pictures from the canon better than the pictures from the panasonic? I like the panasonic’s screen because it looks larger and because of its HD feature, but if it doesn’t have as excellent of picture quality as canon then I may have to get canon.

  22. IzzySpint on March 15, 2011 at 1:49 am

i despise when people take the colour of the camera into account or some crap like that, it’s a fucking camera!!! the pictures are meant to look excellent not the camera itself!
