I suspect that persons who have not had success with the charger is because they have been charging it incorrect. It happened to me. . . I left the battery for my Nikon Coolpix S210 (EN-EL10) to charge overnight, and then this morning, got up to see the results- was I disappointed to find that the battery was still dead. In despair, I went back to the reviews on Amazon. com and one reviewer said that the metal parts should not be aligned- that fooled me. Instead you should flip the battery around and let negative and positive connect, and trust me I left it charging for 3 minutes, and it worked! Trust me, for now the product is fantastic- if over time it starts to fail me, I WILL write another review. In the meantime, it’s worth the buy- for only 8 bucks including shipping, you have small to lose.

it drained my full battery and my S210 didn’t work. I thought the camera broke but when I used an original charger to charge my battery it worked fine. don’t recommend this one.

I bought a Nikon Coolpix S230 and was disappointed with the bulky battery charger that was provided (consisting of a charger base plus an A/C cord). It escapes logic to reckon that Nikon would invest so much time and effort to ensure that the camera is thin, compact and lightweight, yet do not place the same effort in ensuring that the battery charger is portable and simple to pack. Who wants to lug around a bulky cable and charger base? This after-market charger is compact and lightweight, which makes it more suited for travel. It is also equiped with a folding A/C prong, which was not mentioned on the product detail description page.

My charger did NOT charge my Nikon battery. I paid 7 or 8 (can’t remember) extra $$ for expedited shipping so that I could use my charger on my road trip. The charger did not make it in time. When I got back, I opened the product only to find that it DID NOT CHARGE MY NIKON EN-EL10 BATTERY! I emailed customer service. Doris was really polite and suggested carriage a pre-paid envelope for me to return the product for a refund (since I’d already spent more on shipping than the charger itself). She even followed up with me more than a week shortly to see if I had received the envelope, and then verified my take up (which was right). But, the return envelope NEVER CAME.

So I still have the charger that doesn’t charge the battery, and it would only increase my loss to return the charger back for a refund. The nice lady who responded to my send by e-mail is a plus, but the fact of the matter is that the charger doesn’t work, and I never got my refund. So, I have to say that I would NOT recommend this seller or this product.

    P. S. I bought a Nikon factory charger from Electro Bargains. Works perfectly, flawless transaction.
