this is with the car warmed up. exhaust is stock headers, BBK offroad H pipe, Mac catback, all piping is 2.5inch, with 3inch tail pipes. car revved to random RPM’s, and at the end of the video i let the clutch out slowly to place the car under load to hear the exhaust at low RPM under load. Shot with my new Canon Powershot SX10 IS

took it out bc it still had 5.0 flywheel harmonic balancer dist. ect.. so didnt run very smooth at high rpm’s.. lol.. bought from previous owner like that.. but the 351 is gonna get stroked and get place in a coupe.. and the 302 is also gonna have a 125 shot… so thats gonna be fun.. got a sick deal on the 302.. couldnt pass it up..

  4. Xarmy187 on May 18, 2011 at 3:24 pm

ouch, would not go from a 351 back to a 302 unless it was an aftermarket block.

351 with the right heads and cam will run circles around a 302 any day of the week.

the 302 block also cant handle much over 500hp, where a 351 can go upto 800.

  5. str8isSexy on May 18, 2011 at 3:31 pm

i should be gettin mine back in a bout a week or so… had a 351 in it..but my companion convinced me to go back to a 302..i found a 302 from a 89 with 45k miles on it!!! so im stuffing lifters rockers and a e cam.. the exhaust set up will be bbk shorties bbk x pipe and the mac pro dumps which im ordering tomorrow.. looks like ill be having multiples while driving…lol

  6. Xarmy187 on May 18, 2011 at 4:16 pm

    haha, yea.

installed a cam a month ago. About to button the motor back up, so look for my next video with the mac’s + cam.

  7. str8isSexy on May 18, 2011 at 5:03 pm

mac’s on a fox make me jizz every time… with a cam i get multiples…lol…

  8. warnotch1 on May 18, 2011 at 5:05 pm

@Xarmy187 definatly agree mac is the best sounding exhaust on 5.0 wouldnt change mine for anything!

  9. Xarmy187 on May 18, 2011 at 5:53 pm

both e303 and the b303 are “ok” cam’s but you will be lucky to get 15 horsepower over stock. probably 5 hp if you have stock head’s. But they sound fantastic! lol.

Ive changed my mind for now. I priced out building a 408w and it’s WAY more money then i thought, so i found some trick flow twisted wedge head’s, and im deciding on ether a trickflow stage 2 cam, or a cam from Comp Cam’s.

    should be fun ;)

subscribe, it will be done after winter!

dude look up thr 357..id do anything to have a 5.0 like that. but your 5.0 sounds excellent man, my cats are going on my bbk x-pipe, i want an o/r pipe, and i have typical flowmaster 40′s :/ but im going to get a ford racing e303 cam soon, id like the b303 but i have a 3spd auto and cant afford to do a 5spd swap.

  11. 98MustangGT46L on May 18, 2011 at 6:21 pm

i use to have a 98GT and i had the mac catback with the bbk o/r h and it sounded really sick

  12. Xarmy187 on May 18, 2011 at 6:38 pm

you really have to hear them in person. MAC’s are the BEST ive heard on ANY 5.0!!!

check out my “1989 5.0 mustang take off” video to hear me getting on it.

  13. 98MustangGT46L on May 18, 2011 at 7:12 pm

fantastic choice on the catback i rather get the mac instead of the slp lm1′s

  14. GhostRider351 on May 18, 2011 at 7:58 pm

    Sounds sweet excellent.

  15. Xarmy187 on May 18, 2011 at 8:38 pm

lol, tell me about it, i would have revved it up more but i get enough complaint’s at my apt for my loud ass car, lol.

im not doing a cam on this car, might do head’s but fuck this block, im going for a 351w

  19. Xarmy187 on May 18, 2011 at 10:58 pm

I have a 5.0 with equal length headers, a 2.5″ prochamber with a 2.5″ MAC catback and 3″ tips. Come check out my clips to see if you like the sound compared to your setup with the H-pipe.

  21. Xarmy187 on May 19, 2011 at 12:27 am

ive been thinking alot about a prochamber, but for now this is the best setup ive heard so far on any 5.0!

im uploading a couple videos i made of the new 5speed, so check em out.
