all your reviews are fantastic, thanks alot.

could anyone advise me whether the g10 has significantly better image quality than the g7? I know that because of the lack of RAW this would be a factor but as both are very similiar in features and that’s what is vital to me. I don’t know if I’d be able to embrace RAW if I’m taking fantastic pictures already :)

hey mike, i’ve already gotten the canon sx 20 is and it’s simply incredible. It has covered all of my needs which are basicaly and brilliant macro and a excellent resolution on panoramic views. i haven’t stoped playing with the zoom feature plus the different modes this camera has. Hope this helps a bit or if u can be a bit more specific on your doubts i’ll be glad to help you.

Hey, he hasn’t answered to me yet and i’m starting to doubt if he will haha anyways i’ve chose to go for the PowerShot SX20IS. I’m not sure wether it is the right choice or not but as soon as i test it i could let u know. I’ve used the g10 because a friend has it, but still i wanted to try the sx20 cause of different reasons. I’ll tell u how excellent or terrible it was. Cheers mate.

Hey mate, i’m stuck here between to cameras. I’ve seen the reviews plus read the ones on ur website but i can’t choose to get the powershot g10 or the PowerShot SX20IS. It would be nice to know your personal opinion on those two and also which one do would you suggest. Thanks a lot, i’m expectant to hear from you.

It’s in fact by a lake in Queenstown, New Zealand! But a huge lake, so sometimes it seems like the Sea!

    Very Nice review ,

BTW , where is that video shot by the sea ? Looks nice

So far the G10 is more appealing to me than its siblings. Shame that zoom does not work all through recording, though.

It doesn’t have less features than the G10.. the only thing that went lower is the Pixel count which fell to 10MP.. which is better for using high ISO without producing much noise.. also it has much better pixel ratio.. also the sparkle sync is 4x quicker..

I hope they send you the G11 to review. :D

I try in store, the most powerful point and shoot out of over 50 camera i try in store. Very quick start up and fantastic picture. I in fact more impressive then some of entry level dslr with their lame kit lens picture quality. Only cons is can’t shoot video but picture is real nice, no doubt best compact camera out there

  17. truthbehindlove on January 15, 2010 at 12:14 am

it already has. they’re currently selling the g11 at bestbuy. but it has less features than the g10, the only fantastic thing about the g11 is the flip out lcd screen.

  18. krayzgerman on January 15, 2010 at 12:51 am

How long do you all reckon it will be until the next model comes out?

  19. postalshack on January 15, 2010 at 1:50 am

It might be the shooting mode you’re in. If you’re in auto, try switching to the programmable, manual, or gap/shutter priority modes and then see if you can use RAW.

  21. armandointer on January 15, 2010 at 3:01 am

In the video you cant zoom you are right.

  22. ramknowsyou on January 15, 2010 at 3:35 am

so precisely you can zoom when you’re taking a picture but you cant when your taking a video right? :)
my birthday is on august 14th and today is the 9th i want it as my birthday present :) , heeee. i hope if i buy the camera, it will be worth it.

  23. zachsilvey on January 15, 2010 at 4:05 am

on some canon dslrs you have to be in one of the semi-manual modes such as Tv or Av or full manual to get raw. I suspect that it is the same here.

  24. LaZ040 on January 15, 2010 at 5:04 am

lol at my cannon g10 when messing around the image size i cant seem to place it on the RAW size ? beisde the Widescreen i was surprised when i saw it here but cant seem to see it in my cam wth

  25. diffusedlight on January 15, 2010 at 5:15 am

I leave the bottom of the case on, just take the top off and shove it in my pocket :)
