If only it had optical zoom while videoing with stereo sound and a small less bulky, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Will I get my wish for the next model? I tried the ZS3–lousy pics–returned the terrible boy.

i reckon because with my ancient powershot a550 you could hear it a small and form what i heard thats with all canon cameras, its not that loud though.

SX1IS and SX200 are both exellent cameras apart from for size.
SX200 is and all in one bang for buck and size.
Now I know two people who bought SX1 and Sx200 and i must say they are both really really pleased.

I in person would go with a SX200 just because it`s got a 12x zoom & 3inch screen on a small simple to carry camera.

  11. Davieboy93 on February 20, 2010 at 10:43 pm

He forgot to mention it’s half the battery life of the SX110IS and takes a proprietary battery, no AA’s.

  14. lukanz7 on February 21, 2010 at 12:14 am

if this one can zoom all through video ..is the lens noise hearable in playback ?

  15. MidnightM3 on February 21, 2010 at 1:08 am

need more info on the lens… seems to be the main attraction for this camera.

  16. fedearos on February 21, 2010 at 1:10 am

Can you zoom while recording ?

  17. coaxis314 on February 21, 2010 at 1:26 am

I was seriously considering a TZ model. But lack of EVF and manual controls were too much.

    The A200 is nice compromise.
