@HatroVille
In case that you will be using DSLR only the kit lens, take G11. All manuall settings, muuch smaller, but still excellent image quality (and you are not looking for the very best image quality, otherwise you should not use only kit lenses). Excellent luck!
I bought this guy, I was recommended it over entry level dlsr’s. Picture quality is fantastic, battery life is fantastic, lens is excellent. Very pleased with this buy.
Do you reckon I’m better off with this camera than a DSLR? (I will be using only the kit lens if I get a DSLR)
Im torn between getting the G11 or just picking up a Rebel XS… I like the loads of manual control of the G11 but like the ability to change out lenses with a DSLR. Im just not too keen on the bulk of a DSLR though.
@farahgad Only reason to get the G10 would be if you needed more Megapixels, which you won’t. So get the G11
I wants.
Thnx for helping I already ordered to buy it, thnx
@farahgad
get the G11, it is a far better camera than the G10.
i don’t know what to buyy plzz help
G11 or G10
um reallly confused
I’d get it if it recorded HD but I’ll stay with my a640 and get a cheap HD video camera (note I use the a640 in manual and it kicks ASS)
right it does need better sound capture is there anyway to make it better?
nice , it in fact cost more than 500d!
@AngelDrumStar Are you kidding? Canon did the respectable thing by stoping the cramming of megapixels, which made metaphors look worse since the pixels had to be smaller to fit on the same sensor size. The reduction in megapixels HELPED image quality in this case.
nice review, needs better sound capture.
Yes, it works with the 580ex and a lesser model
there’s a hotshoe on the g11, could you attach a eos speedlight onto it, and if it does, will it have ttl and how do you control weather is your speedlight sporadic or your build in sparkle?
this is making me hungry!!!
i was jesting.. cool review
..as I return my toater…damn I and wnted my eggs scrambled
@0.15 What the hell is an “Instruction Manu”?
do you reckon this is a excellent camera to buy ??
dude the 14.7 have nothing on the g11. sure it has a smaller reso but the processor is much better and every pixel is far clearer.
the 3″ vs 2.8″ = wow 0.2″ sacrifice for a swivel !
high iso’s on the g10 give crappy metaphors. way to noisy etc.. the terrible performance by the g10 on high iso’s was the main reason canon lowered the reso on the g11
the only thing the g10 has over the g11 is the sound recorder/voice annotations which i dont know why canon discarded on the new model.
14,7 MEGAPIXEL VS 10
.. i don’t need vari angle
3″ vs 2,8
High ISO Auto on G10 … not in G11
i like only the auto macro function on G11.
hahah no it isnt
My Canon G10 is better !
