    Excellent, worth Canon’s quality!
But it seems to have some problems with your SDHC card (???) – might be inappropriate data reading speed? Should be used with at least class 6 cards, thus video would be more smooth!

Would this be excellent for just casual recoding guitar videos

Agreed! 720p is more than adequate. I also reckon 1080p is too much for the small CMOS to handle. Even Sony is not using total 1080p in the HX-1 but rather 1440×1080.

BTW the mics sound fantastic. Very full, deep, and warm unlike the Panasonic FZ35/38/28 which is flat and slightly muddy sounding.

I’m looking for an OUSTANDING camera that also takes OUTSTANDING video with excellent audio.. I just got the sanyo xacti cg10 and am taking it back cuz the mic sucks.. I see fantastic pics but how well does this do when your indoors discussion? also how simple is it to upload to youtube? that is another one of my must haves as I am using it for family to watch that are out of town?

Impressive, i don’t see a point waste 200 more for sx1 1080p is not huge diff than 720p plus it use a lot more interval.
