canon powershot sd 1400 or canon powershot sx210 ? I can’t choose between the two..

  2. infosyncvideos on June 4, 2010 at 2:38 pm

@disizmre We’d got for the PowerShot SD1400 IS, only because it offers more controls and better image quality.

  3. disizmre on June 4, 2010 at 3:14 pm

what would you choose: nikon coolpix L110 or canon powershot SD1400 IS?

  4. Grlpowr23 on June 4, 2010 at 3:46 pm

is this one excellent? or should I get the SD 3500? do u reckon cannonn is the best brand to buy for the point and shoot type under 350 budget????

Should I get the 1400IS or the 960IS?

  6. infosyncvideos on June 4, 2010 at 4:33 pm

    @enditall727

It’s got new filters, updated image processing, and 720p HD video, but if you can find an SD780 IS, you won’t be missing out on much.

  7. enditall727 on June 4, 2010 at 4:46 pm

is this all around better than the powershot sd780 is??

    @greekmonstervt91

This depends on your budget. If you go point-and-shoot, Canon has a fantastic Auto Exposure and handles low light quite well, especially shooting video in low light, which is what you’ll need at a concert. The Nikon Coolpix P100 has an brilliant zoom, which is vital when you’re sitting in the nosebleed seats. Check out the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS too.

What cameras should I consider buying if I want to take pictures at concerts?

  10. Slushpuppy457 on June 4, 2010 at 6:41 pm

    excellent video!

  11. infosyncvideos on June 4, 2010 at 7:08 pm

Right–only digital zoom, which is very nearly worthless.

  12. infosyncvideos on June 4, 2010 at 7:08 pm

We were impressed with the battery life–the SD1400 IS lasted a full day of shooting, though it certainly needed a charge towards the end.

  13. infosyncvideos on June 4, 2010 at 7:42 pm

We were impressed with the low light in video mode–it’s the best in its class. But, like most point and shoot digital cameras, you’ll have to boost the ISO in order to handle low light for stills. The sparkle is decent enough to illuminate most of the frame, but we still recommend shooting in optimal lighting whenever possible. If you don’t mind shooting with a tripod, the low shutter speeds on the SD1400 IS are fantastic.

Can you do all the effects?

  15. noahman1234 on June 4, 2010 at 8:13 pm

    hows is the battery life?

  16. niniboo2007 on June 4, 2010 at 9:11 pm

how is the low light & sparkle on this camera?

  17. maxsmell on June 4, 2010 at 9:15 pm

my mistake: you DID mention you cannot zoom optically in video mode, which is right. we’re left with digital zoom while recording which is sweet disappointing.

  18. maxsmell on June 4, 2010 at 9:40 pm

    weird. i can.

  19. infosyncvideos on June 4, 2010 at 9:42 pm

The Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS records to SD or SDHC reminiscence cards. The larger the capacity card, the longer you can record. Also, recording in HD eats more interval than recording in standard classification. Since HD is becoming the standard, we recommend shooting with high capacity cards–an 8GB card or higher should do the trick.

  20. infosyncvideos on June 4, 2010 at 9:46 pm

Unfortunately, you cannot zoom while recording video. You can zoom in and out before or after recording, but not all through.

  21. NickJonasLuver11 on June 4, 2010 at 10:32 pm

So you can’t zoom in while your recording a video?

  22. ghettostar54 on June 4, 2010 at 11:02 pm

I tried recording videos, but it only records for so long… how do i change it so that it records longer than 30 seconds??

  23. infosyncvideos on June 4, 2010 at 11:40 pm

This was made in Japan, along with the Canon PowerShot SD3500 IS.

  24. IamDickee on June 5, 2010 at 12:36 am

Fantastic response, thanks. Is this model made in Japan? Can you please check packaging. Not on Canon site.
