    @ClemSamuel its not necessarily better, but yes, quality point and shoots are an awe-inspiring value especially considering the lens–these canons are SHARP.

    I just received a G11 for Christmas and it is incredible! I would highly recommend getting one… If, like me, you are starting a photography course, it is far better than an SLR. A descent SLR costs around £1200, which is probably not in budget for most people. So in its price range it is the clear selection. Also the SLR’s you get in this price range are huge and hard to carrie around! this is compact and light.

    I beseech you to get one!
