Here is my review of the canon powershot a640 point and shoot camera. This contrivance makes fantastic looking pictures with the 10 megapixel censor and even records video. The best thing about this camera is the fact that you get some high end features, like shutter-speed priority mode, that you just don’t see on other point and shoot cameras. @qmey: Yes, it has manual focus. It also has manual control over gap value and shutter speed, as well as white balance and ISO.

I have had absolutely no problems with this camera. I LOVE shooting my videos with it. So far, it takes the best video of any of my cameras. Thanks for sharing (smiles)!

im thinking of buying this cam but i need to know this first. in the canon a650 i believe, it takes about 3 seconds to capture a photo. doe this one take its time as well?

I have this camra and I like it. excellent job on your review. I just made a huge jump to canon 50d dslr. the learning curve is huge but I am sticking with it. my new camra is very cool.

hey dude, u have a camera and u need to know about all the parts before u make a review video, u cannot just say umm umm, in the video, no offense but please make sure you make it work next time, excellent work but needs small more concentration, excellent luck man

This camera is nice for many reasons,

BUT in my opinion, the major deal breakers with it are, NO- I.S. > 35mm is simply not wide enough.

If you are going to be using it primarily in the day time, out doors for scenic shoots, GO for it! It’s perfect if you have bounty of light & can keep the ISO down & the shutter speed up.

Indoors, at parties or in tight spaces, YOUR stuck. Lens is NOT wide enough & youll miss a lot. & you’ll always have to use the sparkle or suffer from MASSIVE NOISE :O(
