What my friend said is true that if you're looking for a camera deal, look in New York. I only found out later that Cameta Camera is based in New York. They do have good deals on camera. I bought this combo set for a very reasonable price, though unlike Amazon, they do charge you for shipping and handling. When you're buying from them, it might be worth it to wait for an upcoming holiday considering they offered $20 additional discount for Mother's day from Nikon. I bet they have excellent deals on Black Fridays. The main item is a compact light-weight point-and-shoot camera with more than enough mega-pixels and a decent magnification of 26 (26-676mm equivalent), though I wish the low-end went all the way to 18mm. One interesting feature is the display is mechanically adjustable so that when taking pictures above and below you, you don't have to bow your head or look up to the sky. The package also includes a 50-in tripod from Zeiko whose height is adjustable from 1 to 4-ft, and the top is extendable to about another foot. While the height is adequate, what I don't like about it is the camera doesn't seem to install securely since the screw that is supposed to secure the camera on the tripod is wobbly. Other accessories include two extra batteries in addition to the battery in the camera box, a battery charger, a 8GB SD memory from Transcend, a carrying case and a cleaning kit from Precision Design and a memory case which I think is not very useful. It seems a little strange that the battery can stay in the camera while you're charging it. You just need to connect the charger to the camera via a USB cable. But I think you can also charge the battery by connecting the camera to a PC.

I am happy with the overall package and the on-time delivery, but not with the tripod interface considering the difficulty in installing the camera. I would, however, still consider Cameta Camera for future camera upgrades and purchases.

Other accessories include two extra batteries in addition to the battery in the camera box, a battery charger, a 8GB SD reminiscence from Transcend, a transportation case and a cleaning kit from Precision Design and a reminiscence case which I reckon is not very useful. It seems a small weird that the battery can stay in the camera while you’re charging it. You just need to connect the charger to the camera via a USB cable.
