When we sight-see I have camera hanging from my neck all day (I take LOTS of pictures) and do not need the case (the lens cap is excellent enough), but I need a lightweight, compact and padded case to place the camera in to place into rucksack or wheelie (when flying) to protect the camera. This case fits the bill well.

It has a notch on each side that the strap can hang outside the case when it is closed. The case has 3 compartments: one inside and one on each side outside.

The coolpix case is OK for transportation a spare card and a spare battery; the problem is that there is no strap or loop to secure the case when you take the camera out to use.

I bought this bag for my FANTASTIC new Nikon P80. Well, the camera fits in the bag, but there’s no interval for my extra battery, or for the lens cleaning pen (which I also bought).

But: this is the worst buy I’ve made all year.

Why? The bag is poorly made. You could buy very nearly any other bag, and it would be better quality than this.

-The quality of the fabric is nothing like the fabric used in Lowepro bags (for instance).

-The padding is so thin to be very nearly non-existent.

    -The bag looks cheap.

-The top doesn’t fit the rest of the bag properly, so if it rains, your camera will get soaked.

    -No strap.

-This bag is much more expensive than anything similar on the market.

I bought a small Lowepro bag for much less than the price I paid for this bag, and am using that instead. I suggest you do the same.

This case is just for your camera and maybe a few SD cards and a cleaning cloth. That is it. It is perfect if that is what you are looking for. I have a larger case for my Nikon P80, but I wanted a small one to offer protection while in my bag. This is exactly what I got with this case. If you are looking for a case to also hold your charger, a small tripod, etc., then this is not the case for you. I took mine to Italy for 2 weeks. It gave the protection I wanted while in my check-in bag and then I could just toss it in my purse while seeing the sights and not worry about my P80 getting hurt.

As I said, it did exactly what I needed…protection while in my bag. I am pleased I bought this case.

I bought this one for my P90 eventhough it says its for P80. Its a perfect fit.

For the price I payed (<5$) its worth. The major drawbacks are

    1. No straps or hooks to use a strap . Meaning you need to hold this in your hand always and cannot be used to carry it around. You can use it to keep it safe while transportation in a huge bag.

    2. Not so thick to protect it outside

    3. Just one inner pocket..and zero one with zippers.
