stay away.. see my comment below.. SmartAUTO has ruined the new Canon line for 2009+. I own the new SD780is and the AUTO feature is useless for indoors and open-air low light shots…. horrible. Best I’ve owned was 1100is = outperformed high end LUMIX I have. Never had to adjust settings on it.

I spent an hour on the phone with Canon’s tech team today and my rep said THIS model was his absolute favorite and provided the BEST photos of any Powershot model (prior to the horrible SmartAUTO feature of 2009).

I need help deciding what video camera to buy.. My brother has a digital camera, and it sucks.. Picture, video and sound quality it’s not so excellent. Should I buy a camcorder or a digital camera? I like it small, and very zoom-able.. Peace.

does anyone know where to get this camera in retailers not online?

  24. vanderslagmulders on December 13, 2009 at 10:02 am

agreed, kingradin. The menu of the SD880 works like a breeze and you´re always back in shooting mode with the push of one button. And the battery life is brilliant.

  25. kingradin on December 13, 2009 at 10:44 am

i don like the way SONY cameras work !!! canon is much better ! more professional, better performance, easer menu [user-friendly menu], better features !! so, i’d say just look for canon !! ;)
