You’ll get that border on the lcd camera screen. You will NOT get it on the youtube video or when watching it on a high def television.. Its because the lcd screen is only 3 inches.

@potsie129 I tried every combination of settings in TV settings, but I still have a frame on top and bottom.

To get tv settings: Push menu button..Then go to setup selection on the left. You will see a “WRENCH ICON” push button to the left and then go down to get there. Then once in there you’ll see “TV settings: To make youtube videos. Film them in HD 720p. Works fantastic. I have a sameple posted on my page. Right now i’m doing my gaming setup video.

    Excellent luck :)

@potsie129 Thanks man it really helped, but I can’t find the settings selection “TV”. I don’t really want to play it on a TV, just to upload high quality on youtube

I have this camera and remember to make sure you use very excellent lighting for indoor shooting and movie taking. Try making a movie outside in nice lighting and you’ll see the quality. just make sure its on 720p and not the 480…

Also the simple settings don’t work too well. You can only adjust the iso and make sure MACRO is on always. Turn on the Wind noise reduction..Auto focus mode..shift detection..vibration reduction..AF help.. Make sure they are all on!
    Newegg is better!

    Hi,

The blurry photos is because the camera isn’t excellent in light. To fix this you need to use the Auto mode and adjust the Iso settings manually. The lower the iso is for brighter areas and the higher iso number is for the darker areas. I would say about 800 iso in darker areas work best in my case.

The video- This camera is factory set to 720p but you can turn it down to 480 but the video won’t turn out as excellent on a hd tv. The boarder fix can be done under the settings selection “TV”
