This is the unboxing video of my new camera. It’s the Canon IXUS 130 otherwise known as the Canon Powershot SD1400IS in North America. I can finally make videos in HD and widescreen! Yay! =)

Cool! So, I have a question for you. It says that this camera has HD video, and that’s the largest perk in the camera for me, especially considering the price. In your opinion, how would you compare the video quality in this camera to a basic camcorder?

i read that it has a wink AND smile detection!
@sulynn1988 do you mean the smile detection?
@nhocsieuquay Nope. That was the W300. W300 doesn’t have a lot of features that the IXUS have, so I would take the IXUs over the W300.
i thought I saw Sony W380, right? U have this camera too?
How was it? Which’s best between Ixus 130 and Sony 380???

hi! i just got mine today and am having problems with the wink detection timer!
no matter how dynamic the wink is, it does not detect the wink

@skyeblueF2 You could take up to 43 minutes on an 8GB SDHC card, on HD mode. But there is a limit of 10 minutes per clip (meaning that everytime you start recording, 10 minutes shortly, it will automatically stop recording).

i bought that camera on best buys website. i barley recieved the camera on monday and have been playing with it since, but i still can’t seem to know how to do the color accent i believe that’s how you call it. (where you pick a certain color and everthing else is in black and white.) i was wondering if you could do a video on a how to for the color accent. thanks (:
I am thinking of buying this camera. If I took a video with this camera how long could the video be?
@SidneyXda I’d say this one is better, it has a LOT of unique features such as colour accent and swap and fish eye lens that other cameras don’t.
