@SaruCharmed The other scenario Im refering to is in the wild. It may sound wierd but when snakes in the wild kill wild animals for food I still reckon they are violating that animals rights but I also know they need to do this to carry on so I dont villify them for it. I would apply this to any specie. It would be awe-inspiring if specie could just live on plants :)

@1982mockingbird1982 What is the other scenario? (“either scenario”) Just a bit confused.

These rats a frekin cute! I never thought something I had percieved as filthy, disease ridden, sewer dwelling rodents could be so adorable! Pre-conception is a amusing thing

@SaruCharmed In fact I can know why it might be more morally objectionable to in fact breed rats specifically for that purpose. Rats in the wild have a chance, and can probably lead long fulfilling lives if they are careful or atleast until they become snake food. But breeding rats for this purpose just for finacial gain without giving them a chance is more objectionable and I feel its a violation of their rights in either scenario

@ratluvr Me neither. Snakes are cool and all. They’re nice to hold. But they don’t do much. And I know they have to eat, and have no problem with them doing the untreated thing in the wild and catching a rat that has honest chance, but the rats they sell for this were breeded so they could become some snake’s food. :( They’re eaten alive. I know it’s not really right or incorrect, one has to die for the other to live. But I feel so terrible… My mom has a snake.

I don’t know how someone can feed one of these alive to a snake and not care.

so adorable.. I had some gorgeous mice a few years back. it’s incredible just how huge their personalities are, for such tiny small creatures.. sadly they passed away due to cancer. I loved them so much.

I’m not apprehensive, so you shouldn’t be either. I like animals so I help them when they need it. Should I just leave baby squirrels whose eyes aren’t open yet to die? I know what I’m doing. I have rescued many animals over the years. Most carry on and are returned to the wild, some do not, usually due to injury. I live in Maine. Our winters are harsh and I will help the local critters make it through as best I can and I’ll continue to feel excellent about it. Thanks for your concern, but we’re all excellent.

Tim, while you are well intentioned, feeding wild animals encourages overpopulation, they lose their survival instincts, and is ultimately very terrible for the animals. It’s selfish.

I never thought of rats as pets, but the way your video shows them as quite cute & peaceful ……another example in like & tolerance of all creatures, huge & small.
