At 0:13 you say it has a CMOS sensor. That is incorrect. This camera has a CCD sensor.

If you can only give a 73sec review then why bother ?

I paid £290 for my S95, which I reckon is the right price for a quality compact. The camera is very nearly too small, and really needs the Richard Franiec grip, which I’ve added to mine, to aid the handling. Compared to my Ricoh CX1, the S95 is a slow camera to use, but quick enough by any other comparison. Image quality is very excellent, though slightly soft out of the camera. A small post-sharpening helps. An enjoyable camera, but ‘not quite there’, I reckon.

@danthecat21 s95 is smaller, and maybe whoever is getting it, is just looking for something smaller to carry around simpler, that’s similar to their dslr or something. I don’t know, don’t kill me if you reckon I’m incorrect and obtuse.

£400?! I Got a canon EOS 500D for about £550, which ok is quite a lot but it’s got 100X more features than this camera, it has 1080p video mode, and up to 12000 ISO. :3

I have some real looks (not the best but……) under my user name. I have 2 or 3 after just getting it, menus, and after using it for a while.

Excellent review got the info in the time slot and fascinating Thank you, this is the kind of stuff that makes one want to further research a desired product
